My work

See what happens when the pieces connect.

I prefer showing the situation, what I noticed, what I did, and what became possible next.

Real work leaves evidence.

Three stories

Different settings. The same instinct to understand the whole problem and leave something usable.

01

Systems & initiative

They said the online system would cost at least six figures.

The situation

This was the 1990s. Online inventory was rare, Google wasn’t a verb, and Amazon wasn’t yet the marketplace people know today. Our customers were already asking to see accurate product information and place orders online, but the available proposal felt out of reach.

What I did

I found a viable platform, bought it, learned it, and built a working site on my own time. After the company bought it, I moved from sales into Development and built the product content it needed: original photos, descriptions, uses, weights, box dimensions, and organized inventory data.

What changed

When Costco built its online store, the company already had the product data and images needed to support fulfillment, which helped it win the contract. Costco later recommended the company to Amazon, opening another major online retail relationship and a period of enormous growth.

02

Operations & data

More than 50 associations. No single map.

The situation

A homebuilder’s associations involved declarations, pools, vendors, boards, dues, meetings, budgets, homeowners, and multiple internal departments.

What I did

I rebuilt the data structure, tracked relationships, automated dues and payments, documented the work, and collaborated with IT through precise problem reports.

What changed

Scattered records became a source of truth. Deadlines were more visible, payments more repeatable, handoffs clearer, and contract language reflected the actual work.

03

Communication & experience

A presentation that became a game.

The situation

A knowledgeable professional needed to share years of experience without relying on another dense sequence of slides.

What I did

I organized the material into categories and values, then designed an interactive question-and-answer experience with clickable choices and reveals.

What changed

The presenter gained structure without losing personality, and the audience became part of the presentation instead of simply watching it.

Customer feedback

Clear. Responsive. Patient. Thorough.

“Lori turned what could’ve been a hassle into a non-event.”
“She made what has been a stressful time period so much easier and put my mind at ease.”
“Quick, competent service... always ready to get to the bottom of the issue.”
“Lori was extremely helpful, and promptly assisted me with my request.”
“Lori makes everything easy and stress-free.”
“She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions with patience, and made the entire process seamless.”

Across the full set, the same qualities repeat: kindness, speed, clarity, follow-through, attention to detail, and making complicated situations feel manageable.

Your situation will be different

The instinct to make it clearer is the same.
